Disney surprise

I never thought I’d say this, but hat’s off to Disney. We’ve recently got back from our 5th trip to Orlando. For the first time ever, we had as many days at Disney as we did at Universal.

The first time when went to Orlando in 2012, we only had one Disney day. We spent the morning at EPCOT, which in those days was so boring. The afternoon park hoping was better, but it seemed like Disney were just trading on their name and reputation. No new or immersive rides. Just a lot of out-dated experiences and big crowds of people only there ‘because it’s DisneyWorld’.

Flash forwards to 2024. What a difference! It may have taken a while but Disney have opened some absolutely stunning new rides. We’d been on Star Wars:Rise of the Resistance and Avatar before, so we knew they were amazingly immersive; although we loved going on them again multiple times. But they now have two new, world class launch coasters in Tron Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. We loved them both (Guardians slightly more). But perhaps the most amazing thing is they’ve got us loving Disney.
